Description: Social Worker - 4 positions available at VISTA Education Center (Federal Setting IV) This position is for the 2026-2027 school year. The first teacher duty day is August 24th, with new teacher workshop the week of August 17th.

Job Summary: Performs professional work within district multi-tiered system of support through obtaining and analyzing data to determine social-emotional needs of students. Serves as a liaison/link between students and federal, state and local social and community support programs. Serves as building homeless liaison. VISTA Education Center has a small caseload of students.
Provide basic and comprehensive services to individual students and families which would include:
- Assist in diagnosing students' needs;
- Provides crisis intervention and prevention for families and students;
- Collaborates with school nurse, community agencies and industry professionals to meet individual student needs;
- Conducts interviews to obtain student social history;
- Refers students to and serves as a liaison with outside agencies;
- Conducts home visits when necessary;
- Assist students with social-emotional learning.
Qualifications: - Hold a baccalaureate degree from a college or university that is accredited
- Minnesota Department of Education School Social Worker License

Bargaining Unit: Teachers Salary Range: BA, Step 1 at $51,599/yr to PhD, Step 17 at $111,313/yr, placement will vary depending on education and experience. View salary grid on the respective bargaining unit listed above, accessible via our
