Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting K-12 students throughout a dynamic school district near Newark, NJ. This full-time, contract position is perfect for a dedicated Physical Therapist with experience in a school-based setting. You'll provide essential services across multiple schools, fostering growth and improving mobility and function for students of all ages and abilities.

This role spans the academic year, from September 4, 2026, through June 25, 2027, with a consistent schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30AM–3:15PM, totaling 35 hours per week.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current, valid Physical Therapist license in New Jersey
• Previous experience in a school setting (preferred)
• Ability to work across K-12 grades and adapt to varying student needs
• Proficient in developing and implementing individualized therapy plans
• Strong collaboration skills to partner with educators, staff, and families

Required Steps Prior to Start:

• Completion of New Jersey requirements: TB test, physical examination, and fingerprinting (for both the district and employer)
• Successful completion of a virtual interview

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide physical therapy support for students district-wide, collaborating with multiple schools
• Conduct assessments, create treatment plans, and document progress
• Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to support students’ academic and functional success
• Offer training and resources to teachers and staff to ensure continuity of care
• Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and school administrators
