About The Position

Intuitive Machines is seeking a Staff Level Design Engineer to join our team. This position will support our growing Lunar Lander Team. The applicant will be located on-site in Houston, TX. The candidate will work in a cross-functional team on the development, manufacture, test, and on-orbit operation of flight, and ground support hardware, such as Lunar Lander Structure and secondary systems.

Responsibilities:

• Generate drawings, piece part and assembly drawings using CAD
• Generate lifting and operational procedure drawings and models
• Assist in developing manufacturing products

Qualifications:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline and minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering design or related discipline
• Professional mechanical design experience supporting spacecraft (satellites, landers, launch vehicles, or spaceflight hardware).
• Experience with CAD software, Creo or Solidworks
• Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 and related standards
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite

• Creative approach to problem solving
• Ability and willingness to work under compressed and aggressive delivery schedules
