JOB PURPOSE

The Showroom Design & Sales Consultant is responsible for creating inspired kitchen and bath design solutions while delivering exceptional client experience. This role blends luxury design expertise with consultative sales, guiding clients seamlessly from initial concept through product selection and final delivery. The consultant develops innovative design concepts, recommends premium products, and cultivates strong client relationships to ensure personalized solutions tailored to each client's unique needs. Success in this position requires professionalism, attention to detail, strong product knowledge, and the ability to balance functionality with refined aesthetics in a luxury-focused and design driven high-end showroom environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Experience & Sales

  • Provide exceptional, personalized service to clients, designers, remodelers, builders, and architects with professionalism and enthusiasm under all circumstances.
  • Utilize consultative selling techniques, active listening, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Manage projects and guide clients through the process, from the initial consultation, product selection, pricing, purchasing decisions, order placement, and delivery, ensuring accuracy and timeliness at every stage.
  • Recommend, select, and source products based on client needs, lifestyle, and design preferences.
  • Prepare design layouts with accurate square footage calculations.
  • Compute pricing, prepare sales contracts, and accurately process cash or credit payments.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients and contractors from design through delivery to ensure satisfaction.
  • Answer questions regarding the showroom, products, policies, and promotions.
  • Handle product returns and exchanges in accordance with company policy.
  • Develop and manage a personal sales pipeline, including prospect follow-up and opportunity tracking.
  • Proactively generate new business through referrals, networking, and relationship cultivation.

Design & Product Expertise

  • Develop inspired kitchen and bath layouts that balance functionality and refined aesthetics.
  • Demonstrate and explain product features, benefits, operation, and care.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of product lines, design trends, current promotions, and company policies.
  • Stay informed of evolving industry trends and best practices.
  • Use available resources to research products, resolve issues, and provide informed solutions.
  • Contribute to showroom merchandising, vignette design, and overall aesthetic presentation.

Operations, Compliance & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate sales records, contracts, and related documentation.
  • Ensure workstation and showroom areas remain organized, clean, and professional.
  • Recognize, prevent, and appropriately address security risks and theft.
  • Maintain knowledge of payment procedures, exchange policies, and security practices.

Team Collaboration & Company Alignment

  • Attend and actively participate in all required team and company meetings.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to support showroom and company goals.
  • Demonstrate a positive, team-oriented mindset.
  • Uphold and align all actions with the company's vision, mission, and core values.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's in Interior Design or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in...
    • Kitchen and Bath Showroom Design.
      • Proficiency in design principles.
      • Skillful in design industry software: 2020 Design, Sketch Up, Revit, and Auto CAD.
    • Luxury Showroom Sales.
      • History of meeting or exceeding personal sales goals.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven sales and customer service experience, with the ability to recommend products and confidently guide clients through purchase decisions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment while following established processes and instructions.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor with a positive, customer-focused attitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general applications; additional software experience is a plus.
