Canyon Oilfield Services is seeking a highly motivated Safety Manager to join our team. This role is critical to maintaining and improving our safety culture across oilfield construction and DOT-regulated trucking operations. We are looking for someone who is very computer-proficient, field-experienced, and not afraid to step in and help when the job calls for it.Position Overview
· Schedule: 45–50 hours per week
· Work Split: Approximately 50% office / 50% field
· Environment: Oilfield construction sites, trucking operations, and office-based compliance work
Key Responsibilities· Oversee and enforce company safety policies across oilfield construction and trucking operations
· Ensure compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations
· Conduct job site safety inspections, audits, and field observations
· Assist with planning and overseeing large or special projects
· Lead safety meetings, tailgate talks, and corrective action follow-ups
· Maintain and manage safety documentation and contractor compliance platforms
· Work directly with supervisors, drivers, and field crews to promote accountability and safe work practices
· Step in physically at times to help oversee or assist operations when needed
Required Qualifications· Minimum 3 years of experience in oilfield construction operations
· Minimum 3 years of experience in DOT / FMCSA trucking environments
· Strong computer skills (comfortable with office software and online systems)
· Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with field and office personnel
· Willingness to be hands-on in the field when required
Preferred / Plus Qualifications· Bilingual (Spanish/English) – highly preferred
· Experience with ISN, PEC-Veriforce, and Avetta contractor management systems
· Previous experience in a combined field/office safety role
