Actuarial Analyst (Hybrid – San Jose, CA)

Job Type: Full-Time (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

Location: San Jose, CA

Pay Rate: $39.00/Hr. - $41.00/Hr. on W2

Work Setup: Hybrid (3 days/week in office)

Equipment: Laptop provided

Opportunity: Potential extension or full-time conversion based on performance and attendance

Key Responsibilities

Perform data entry and analysis of financial and demographic data to assess risk

• Support actuarial projects and contribute to ongoing team initiatives
• Assist in actuarial modeling and gain exposure to advanced techniques
• Conduct actuarial valuations for pension plans
• Perform calculations related to pension benefit accruals and contributions
• Prepare and support government filings and compliance reports
• Work on varied actuarial assignments and special projects
• Manage assigned tasks independently while meeting deadlines
• Participate in team discussions and collaborative learning sessions
• Support career development planning within the actuarial field
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Knowledge of business, economics, and actuarial concepts
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking ability
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid/virtual team environment
• Willingness and ability to learn new tools and systems
• Self-motivated team player who can also work independently

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Economics, or related)
• Minimum 1 year of actuarial experience
